No - he has a cage, although he likes sitting on top of it as much as in it. Jon is getting him used to the rest of the house, and sitting on his finger, so he carts him around every once in awhile. We just sat him on the monitor for pix. :)

I see! Would be a bit worrying to have a bird flying all over the place - I'd always be afraid it might escape. And there's the furniture to consider.

My uncle had parrot once. It used to give cat-calls and whistle whenever a pretty woman was walking past his house. My uncle swore he had nothing to do with that. ;)

Because he likes to fly, we are going to have to clip Spike's wings - the dogs are much too interested in him for my comfort.

Our parrot, a blue-front Amazon named Trigger who died a couple of years ago, had a large vocabulary, and he also wolf-whistled, although it was not always at pretty women. Or even women, for that matter.

Well, in the case of Caesar, my uncle's parrot, my dad said there MUST have been some influence or other. ;)

Caesar also used to scream "Gerhard" (my uncle's name). When my uncle and aunt split up, my aunt got to keep the parrot. I suppose it's still there, they do get pretty old. I'm not sure how my aunt's new husband likes Caesar screaming for Gerhard though. ;)

I have seen one like him in a pet-shop the other day. My friend dragged me in, as I never go into pet-shops because I feel so sorry for the animals there.
However, this little birdie was all alone in his cage and I wanted to take him home with me. Or get him a little buddy. Yep, not dog- or cat-, but bird-person here. :)
